Simply said. We have distractions, emergencies, traumatizing events and situations that alter the very reality that we live in. Some people aren't as versatile or strong as we would like them to be to handle certain situations but then who is ever the same? We cannot blame those who do not work like us, think like us, handle situations like us and so forth. We are all built differently and we need to remind ourselves of this. We have to be understanding to a point and also need to advocate for ourselves when we feel we are being taken advantage of, lied to or being deceived. I say we can be empathetic, sympathetic and understanding but we can also say no, sorry but I can't help, etc. and that needs and requires no explanation.
